Vaisakhi, also known as ਖਾਲਸਾ ਸਾਜਨਾ ਦਿਵਸ (Khalsa Sajna Divas), holds deep spiritual and historical significance in Sikhism. It commemorates the historic day in 1699 when ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ (Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji) established the ਖਾਲਸਾ ਪੰਥ (Khalsa Panth) at Anandpur Sahib. On this Diwaan, Guru Sahib called upon Sikhs to rise above fear and division, creating a community of initiated Sikhs bound by faith, discipline, and equality through the sacred ceremony of ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸੰਚਾਰ (Amrit Sanchar). The Khalsa was formed to uphold ਧਰਮ (Dharam), defend justice, and live a life rooted in courage, humility, and seva.

This day reminds Sikhs of their distinct identity and the values gifted by Guru Sahib—ਨਿਰਭਉ (fearless), ਨਿਰਵੈਰ (without hate), and committed to truth. Vaisakhi is not only the birth of the Khalsa but also a call to live as ਸੰਤ-ਸਿਪਾਹੀ (Saint-Soldiers)—balancing spirituality with responsibility. It reflects the strength of unity and the responsibility to stand against injustice while serving humanity selflessly.

The celebration of Vaisakhi also reflects the spirit of ਸੇਵਾ (selfless service) and ਸੰਗਤ (community gathering). Through ਕੀਰਤਨ ਦਰਬਾਰ (Kirtan Darbar), we connect with Gurbani and remember the teachings of the Gurus, while ਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਲੰਗਰ (Guru Ka Langar) represents equality—where everyone sits together as one, regardless of background, status, or belief. This tradition, started by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, continues to be a cornerstone of Sikh practice.
